| What we're doing |
| Indieshirts.com is focussed on sustainable living. Through action and awareness, we're hoping to create and purvey a lifestyle that is responsible and rewarding. While everyone can do better, we should all strive to do our part. Below are some of the things we're currently doing to reduce our impact on the environment. |

| Organic Cotton Tees |
| We now carry t-shirts that use 100% organic cotton. Sustainable Cotton encompasses biologically-based, IPM, and organic farming practices in the production, manufacturing and use of cotton. The Sustainable Cotton Project’s grower programs help move farmers through the changeover from chemically-dependent to more biological sound approaches. Composted manures and cover crops replace synthetic fertilizers; innovative weeding strategies are used instead of herbicides; beneficial insects and trap crops control insect pests; and alternatives to toxic defoliants prepare plants for harvest. |

| The 3 Rs (Recycle, Reduce, Reuse) |
| Plastics that are recyclable are recycled. Unused paper is reused as scrap. All paper we use to print on is made from 100% recycled paper. |

| Energy Usage |
| Lights that we are able to change out have been changed to energy saving bulbs. Lights that are not needed during the day are kept off and sunlight is used instead. Windows are opened whenever possible instead of using air-conditioning. When ordering new stock, we always choose the closest warehouse to minimize shipping mileage. |

| Cradle to Cradle |
| One of the reasons we use Priority Mail for all domestic shipping is for the boxes. USPS Priority Mail boxes are certifified Cradle to Cradle with a Silver rating. | Awareness |
| Designs that have messages that create awareness of sustainability and social issues will be added to the website (some may already be available). We hope to create a program that will allow us to donate a percent of the proceeds from sales of certain designs to sustainability-focused organizations in the near future. |
